Contributing to the Example Applications 🥳🎉😍

We welcome everybody to provide example applications with a Pull Requests on GitHub

Please be aware that in order to achieve the most gain for the community and the goal to keep measurements reproducible and comparable we provide some guidelines for the example applications:

Characteristics

  • All reference images in the usage_scenario.yml → must be available on dockerhub
  • Containers are not allowed to require volume mounts
  • Containers should follow the naming convention of using gcb- as prefix and - as delimiter
  • Images should follow the naming convention of using gcb_ as prefix and _ as delimiter

Wordpress

Please do NOT use the official wordpress container for example applications. The container is a breeze when you want to start from scratch, but very picky when you want to overlay an existing filesystem.
